it's really interesting that Ed later had an Elton John feature because the chorus reminds me of Elton quite a bit, while the rest of the song reminds me of T. Rex

I thought this song was so dopey when it came out, but its charms have won me over — I enjoy it more than all but one or two LB songs, so I get where KurtLeon is coming from.

I still think it should feature bar crowd applause (and maybe the whole album should)

This is like a bottom 5 song in the entire catalogue for me...2 stars and that's probably generous.

This song makes we want to invent a time machine so I can send 1993 Pearl Jam to come kick the assess of 2013 Pearl Jam.

One of the lowest points of their career

This song is the very definition of "filler track"

I hate it with all my heart

Calm down there.
It’s got elements from early PJ all over it. And a looseness they weren’t able to achieve back then at all.
Most of all it’s fun. Something that pj were never able to achieve.

While that is how I feel about LB in general, this track actually is a bit of a bright spot on the record for me. I really enjoy the loose, groovy smoke-filled lounge feel of this one. LTRP, Getaway, and MFS are the only pieces of this effort I can enjoy on occasion. It's sad, but thankfully this band has produced so many highlights, and just gave us maybe their most high quality single package of songs in 30+ years.

I just could never get into this song. Seems like it is more suited for a B-side.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world.
