Embarrassing I missed going through the tracks!bodysnatcher wrote:All 4 sides being used. According to VMP:Buby wrote:Yeah, so did I.dad wrote:I'm probably going to kick myself if I don't buy this. It's my favorite album of theirs.
Edit: I do not have to kick myself. I ordered it.
And 2LP is a very good thing.
I wouldn't be surprised if side 4 is some Yield etching or dead wax, but even at 3 sides would mean more space between the grooves.
New mix, new pressing plates, and if it's the "inaugural pressing for VMP's new audiophile grade pressing plant" I would assume a whole lotta eyes on the manufacturing or it.
Side 1:
BOJ
Faithful (which they misspelled, but so does everywhere else)
No Way
Side 2:
GTF
Wishlist
Pilate
Side 3:
DTE
Red Bar (their title)
MFC
Low Light
Side 4:
In Hiding
PMPM
All Those Yesterdays
Hummus (which they listed as a track)
excellent way to hold off the resellers.wease wrote:Limit 5 per member

A) do nothing to the mastering and assume the stylus will start distorting or maybe even skipping
B) cut some of the low end to limit distortion/skipping
C) excessively compress the sound so that you can maintain the preferred low end, but at a lower dynamic range so as to still limit distortion/skipping
So by spreading the music across more sides, you're not forced to make those sonic tradeoffs. Instead, you have to pay more money, and flip the record more often. If you're an audiophile it's worth it; if you're not, it's probably not.
Some are saying there's a missed opportunity in not making this a 45 rpm release, since they have the extra real estate. I've had very mixed results with 45 rpm 12" records, so I'm swiss on that one.

Will you please compare them to the sticker that comes with this album and report back how they've been upgraded?bodysnatcher wrote:I have some unused OG yield stickers. No way to really prove it though
Is this on all platforms, or only Apple Music?oftheearth wrote:The new streaming mix of Yield sounds pretty great so far! Looking forward to getting the vinyl. Love me some Josh Evans, he just gets it.
