Stop in tonight to meet the Bell's Brewery, Inc. (Official) rep & try a FREE BEER sample!

On Draft @ 4pm:
> Bell's, Midwestern Pale - 5.3%
> Bell's, Le Batteur (French Bière de Garde) - 5.8%
> Bell's, Best Brown - 5.8%
> Bell's, Two Hearted Ale - 7%
> Bell's, Porter - 5.6%
> Bell's, Java Stout - 7.5%

Available Bottles:
> Bell's, Two Hearted
> Bell's, Porter
> Bell's, Kalamazoo Stout

Outside of two hearted, that's not a great list. Best Brown is very basic, but nice. Mostly decent beers, but dont go in expecting to be blown away.

Well then I might skip it. I'm sure the rep will make his way up into Buffalo and I'll go then.

Lets put it this way, 2 hearted is the only one id buy a six pack of.
I'm surprised that they're not throwing in a Third Coast for good measure.
OARSMEN FOR EVERYBODY. (assuming you're referencing third coast beer- which is awful, not Third Coast Old Ale, which is amazing.)

Love the Old Ale. Funny story about that. About 3 years ago, a new store opened near me and I convinced the beer buyer to stock a case of the Old Ale. He was hesitant because his beer shelves were at a premium. Anyway, he ordered it and then bitched about it not moving. Turns out he ordered the Third Coast instead. He's never made that mistake again.

I grabbed a 32 oz growler of Ommegang's To Take the Black Game of Thrones beer. I'm excited to try it.
Also got a Game of Thrones/Ommegang Growler. Its pretty slick looking. Limit one per customer or i would have got two. They are selling them for 34 bucks at the HBO store but i got them at my growler store for 10 :)

On a related note, this is in your neck of the woods. You should go.

Damn. Thanks.
I'd love to get some backwoods bastard on tap!

I'll be at the built to spill show tonight though :(

for the record i thought the ommegang to take the black stout had a much cooler name and growler than the beer was itself. It was okay but nothing special.

Was able to stop in at a special terrapin release party on my way down to the show last night and have a glass of their Woodford Reserve Bourbon Barrell Aged Wake N Bake

Taste just as good as it sounds. Amazing stuff. I'm a big Wake N Bake fan so this was a set up for success.

Headed over to the growler store after work for some Burnt Hickory Brews. Excited to try their Charred Wals of the Damned. It is a Buffalo Trace bourbon barrell aged Quad.

So I've been enjoying firestone's velvet merkins for a couple weeks now...I had no idea what a merkin was until my wife laughed at the name and told me

Just bought my Founders Harvest Ale (which next to hopslam may be my favorite release of the year) and went to put it away. At that point I realized I have at least a dozen bottles of craft beer in no fewer than 5 locations in my house.

Victory Dirtwolf is good and has a nice finish but it's not all that different than Hop Wallop if I remember correctly.

I saw DirtWolf but didn't want to commit to a four-pack, with that description I'm glad I kept walking and found two Maine Beer Co's Lunch left on the shelves.

It'd be better to find a single I think than to get 4. Or order a draft. It's a very good double IPA, I'm just not sure how different the taste is from other Victory Doubles.

Haven't had anything from Maine Beer Co down here, I'll look for it.

Anyone have any opinions on Westbrook Gose?

It's decent. I only had it at a tasting event, so I only had a small amount. I'm glad I live close to the Westbrook brewery, they put out some pretty good stuff. And the White Thai is always excellent.

Man, that Harvest Ale is delicious. That was the first time I really understood how good a wet hop ale can be. It just dripped piney, dank, thick hop ooze.
