I’m seeing the same ad for this new album on fb several times a day.
Fb advertising isn’t cheap. They must really have faith in this one

I've seen rumblings that this is out there, but haven't seen it anywhere myself yet.

says no.
Someone on Vinyl Collective says they've had it for "about a week," but doesn't seem like they are sharing. ::shrug::

No issues here. It's also now seeding on Soulseek.

Edit: Used 7zip to un-compress the download.

Thanks for the link!

I'm still figuring out my thoughts on it, but I'm definitely interested in my show in June. I'm not sure how they're going to translate this live.

A bunch of the new songs, many played for the first time, are in good quality from this show. Of course who knows what they will do with regard to guest performers for a full tour.

I saw the songs live w/o knowing any of them and I thought they were great, but it was a seated theater environment. Guessing will be played different in larger venues and mixed up with older songs.

Yeah, definitely. I'm just curious how they're going to approach them presuming they're not going to have a lot of the vocals present; the interplay with the female vocalists is such a huge part of the record.

I've read some National fans drawing a comparison to A Moon Shaped Pool, which I can understand, in terms of emotion if not necessarily in terms of sound. I know The National's usually referred to as a 'grower' band, where songs need to marinate with you for a while, but they've usually been a fairly immediate listen for me. This one feels a little different for me; it was very effecting, and I loved it, but I feel like I need to sit with it a while. It's a lot to take in.

That being said, I'm really impressed that they seemed to have made this in the midst of a world tour for their last record; it's extraordinarily layered and well thought out, considering the circumstances.

That run from the title track through So Far So Fast is pretty stunning. Where Is Her Head is something that at first glance feels like it shouldn't work at all and it's incredible.

I listened to the first 10 tracks or so on the way into work and my initial reaction is very positive. I am a bigger fan of Matt's vocals on this album than on SWB, the rhythm section is (of course) outstanding, and the guest vocals are such a great change-of-pace. Can't wait to listen to the back portion.

broke down and listened to this.

on first listen, i like the comparison to radiohead -- it's definitely an album that needs to be listened to in context and, perhaps, as a whole where the sum is greater than it's individual parts.

the standouts for me that i knew going in would be standouts are: rylan, where is her head (the lyrics are which are taken from the scene in the movie where the dad is reading the book to the main character), oblivions, and hey rosey.

the standouts that surprised me are: i am easy to find (i love this arrangement), and we're not in kansas

the first part of dust swirls in strange light with the choir singing is completely unnecessary. the song would've been better starting in the middle when the drums kick in.
