It's weird, and I don't really have a rational explanation for it, but there's something about Scott I find kind of unsavoury and it makes it difficult for me to warm to him as a vocalist. It's not fair but I can't get away from it.
Though that video was jumpy for me, the song above actually sounds great. If they can do something like that with a new singer, I'd be all ears.

Yeah, that's a fantastic song. I've been playing Galoshes a lot recently. I'd overlooked it for awhile, but I'm really digging it right now.

Galoshes is really good. Most of the songs would be universally praised if they belong in an eddie vedder solo album.
Missing Cleveland is fantastic, I like galoshes as a whole a lot

The other night I re-watched STP's recorded show from the Riviera Theatre in Chicago from the 2010 tour. That was my 3rd or 4th time seeing them. I didn't remember much from the show. But after watching it, I was shocked at just how good Scott sounded. Man I'm gonna miss this band.

I just barely remember seeing these guys open a show for the Foo Fighters in some small club in Montreal....probably late 1997 or early 98? Good show!

I was at that show and Scott sounded really good. He looked and sounded sober.

I just can't stop listening to Shangri La. It's a wonderful album. Well, I've been listening to that... and Glide... and a lot of Tiny Music... and Purple... But mostly Shangri La.
STP was such a great band.
