I have serious doubts that the douche nozzles who vote for these clowns will ever learn their lesson. It's just too easy to deflect the blame somewhere else, and they will always swallow it. Remember, we had this guy ON TAPE doing and saying all kinds of horrible things, and it made absolutely no difference to them. If Obama cured cancer and we had video of Trump fucking a baby, they would still side with Trump. Because that's what trash does.

All it truly takes is, "Abortion is bad!" and then they vote Republican.

I'm about to start "What's the Matter With Kansas" and the opening few pages are engrossing.

I wonder what would convince either side that their major party of choice doesn't remotely stand for the things they pretend to. Even if the Republicans are in total control of government and do nothing about abortion, will that change any republican voter's mind?

I doubt it.

I will never understand the frame of mind that 3-week old fetuses are the most important thing in the world, but living breathing people and animals are completely worthless depending on what their function is. That's total fucking lunacy. I think most of those people are anti-abortion because it's what they mindlessly think they are supposed to do, or just because liberals support it. Being a complete shithead is an American tradition at this point.

Odd thing I've noticed: every time Trump has been in Iowa he has included a line about not being "the stupid people" in his speech.

Has there been a better example of how hopeless his manufacturing jobs promise is than the announcement that carrier will be using some of the money they promised to invest to automate those jobs?

He wasn’t sure how these people found his number.

“Nothing that says they’re gonna kill me, but, you know, you better keep your eye on your kids,” Jones said later on MSNBC. “We know what car you drive. Things along those lines.”
“I’ve been doing this job for 30 years, and I’ve heard everything from people who want to burn my house down or shoot me,” he added. “So I take it with a grain of salt and I don’t put a lot of faith in that, and I’m not concerned about it and I’m not getting anybody involved. I can deal with people that make stupid statements and move on.”

Almost as if he understands anonymous death threats are overrated.
You're right. It's a nonstory.
About a year ago, 18-year-old college student Lauren Batchelder stood up at a political forum in New Hampshire and told Donald Trump that she didn’t think he was “a friend to women.”

The next morning, Trump fired back on Twitter — calling Batchelder an “arrogant young woman” and accusing her of being a “plant” from a rival campaign. Her phone began ringing with callers leaving threatening messages that were often sexual in nature. Her Facebook and email inboxes filled with similar messages. As her addresses circulated on social media and her photo flashed on the news, she fled home to hide.

When Trump tweeted about Batchelder in October 2015, he had fewer than 5 million followers; he now has more than 17 million and has bragged that having a Twitter account is “like owning the New York Times without the losses.”

For Batchelder, the abuse continues more than a year later. Five days before the election, she received a Facebook message that read: “Wishing I could f---ing punch you in the face. id then proceed to stomp your head on the curb and urinate in your bloodied mouth and i know where you live, so watch your f---ing back punk.”

Is there some sort of local saying like, "The stupid people will always lose!" or some weird shit like that?

Ha wow.

But no...there's no local saying or even sense that they are seen as stupid by the rest of the world.

The past month since the election should have changed that from a "doubt" to "certainty" as all he's done is go back on his promises and they're all jumping through mental hoops about why that's a good thing.

The Republicans want to save babies and kill the minorities while the Democrats want to kill the babies and save the minorities. And neither does either, truly.

I wonder how many of the (entertaining) response tweets to this are actual American citizens giving their informed, honest opinion.

Is it fine or strange or fucked up that Trump is still going to produce and take part in celebrity apprentice?
