There are people misinterpreting this as him talking about the US. From the context, he’s talking about other countries. Like “I can’t place a tariff on other countries, but I can destroy them.” I mean it’s still fucking nuts, but that’s what he’s talking about.
A standing president stating 'he' can "destroy" a country, as those are the words he said, has no place here.
As I said: it’s fucking nuts.

I have always thought there’s one end game scenario where he isn’t having fun being president anymore, so he loses interest and finds a way to walk away.

Yeah, I'm sure Trump wanted to stop being president 10 years ago, but the gig makes him money, keeps sycophants singing his praises, and keeps him out of jail. He's not going anywhere until that lump of a body stops functioning.

honestly i dont think making money is first on his list. i think he finds people praising him to be much more enriching
Tonight is going to be interesting. His live conferences and speeches the last month or so have been especially meandering and unhinged. Wonder what he'll say tonight.
