Yesterday was my first 6.5 mile run in like 6 weeks +. It went really well. 9:30 pace. Not too bad. Felt strong the whole time and probably could have pushed it a bit but wanted to take it easy.
Mostly just 3 miles. And I've been going at a very slow, 10:15/10:30 pace.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:epilogue wrote:I've been slowly recovering from whatever happened to my knee during the Brooklyn Half.

How far had you been running?

I have done two 5 milers, though. Each was a nightmare. Super tough. Felt every minute of them. This 6.5 was the first "good" run I've had in almost two months.
Good work, man. Love to hear you're still getting after it. Covid sucks, but it's cool that you're ready to hit the pavement again.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Oh man. Before Covid I had started trying to do 3.5-4 miles with as little walking as possible and ended up around that pace, maybe a little slow. I think I only made it 4 miles once without walking.
Very baller. You're back.epilogue wrote:Another 6.5 miler this morning. 68 degrees outside. Felt awesome. 9:15 pace.

How about two medium to long runs?Dev wrote:My new strategy might be 1 long run a week.
