3 miles in whatever:whatever. I was hoping for a little better pace, but around 2.60 I found an extra gear and finished strong. Took off a little over a minute from the first two miles. And my heart rate was down and cadence up while not trying to kill myself. I feel like i'll be "back" pretty soon.

I was gonna do a half marathon in august. but now its coming closer i don't want to do it..

mainly because:
i don't really want to pay to run
i'm not that competitive
i don't want to socialise
will people be in my way?

am i just making excuses or would a marathon possibly not be for me?

Just do one on your own with your watch.

Wanted to do 3 miles last night, but the heat was getting back to me so stopped at 2. A very slow 2 with a little more walking than I hoped. Did 2 miles tonight though without stopping. Not a great time, but surprisingly was 1 minute faster on the second mile. Felt pretty good.

Read the entirety of Haruki Murakami's wonderful What I Talk About When I Talk About Running yesterday, so I was feeling inspired today. Did 3 miles in 31 minutes this morning before the real heat started in

I've still never broken the 5k/30 minute line, so let's not get too excited

July 12. But I did a long bike ride a week ago and I walked a lot almost every day in June. Today I was mainly propelled by the prose of Murakami

Stopped at a mile. My side was cramping and couldn't get breathing in sync. It's too dang hot.
