You and I are the most Mayo-averse people on this board. We are kindred. You think I would mislead you?

I’m gonna need a list of all the ingredients of these mayonnaise biscuits so I can get a full opinion on this.

Whisk 1 cup of whole milk and 3/4 cup of mayo
In a separate bowl mix 10oz of all purpose flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 3/4 teaspoon of salt.
Combine.
Spoon out 1/4 cup of mixture (makes 12 biscuits). Bake on 450 for 14-15 mins, rotating half way.

I thought it was nuts at first. But they’re so good. The mayo acts as the fat (like shortening or butter in traditional recipes), and the emulsified eggs and oil in the mayo make them tender. They’re super easy to make.

I tried making Reid’s cornmeal trail mix or whatever that was, so I’ve done my duty.

this makes sense. you can use mayo instead of butter for grilled cheeses, for instance.

Yeah, if you like demonic grilled cheeses straight from the depths of hell, itself.

Now you are just being silly, wease. The Mayo flavor cooks out and it just browns the grilled cheese nicely. You don’t taste Mayo at all.

I second Ruddo. He taught me this trick. I’ll never go back. Butter is totally unnecessary.
