This sounds like a lot of experiences my single friends have had. Modern dating seems frustrating because everyone thinks they have unlimited options so people change their minds quickly and without much warning.

This makes a lot of sense but it's still like high school or college all over again...mind games everywhere

Exactly, and I've been guilty of doing this. Once you are with one girl, you start to get curious about others. It's like online shopping. But I've stopped this behavior thankfully.

going by your timeline of events
Typical story...
Great first date, talked for two hours, shared nachos.
Big hug at the end. She says she wants to see me again (unprompted)
I text her a few hours later with a date idea for Wed - bowling - I tell her I'll confirm everything and reach out in the AM
I reach out in the AM with the Reservation details
she says she's not available on Wed, going to movie with friend (huh?)
She offers next weekend
I politely text back - Sure, no worries
So, basically, since I've been doing this for a few years I know to lay off and let her date a few other guys. Most likely it won't work out for her and she'll reach back out, as long as I play it cool.
it seems like you assumed she was free on wed and you told her you would go bowling. did she respond to this and say sure or did she reply back and say she had plans to be with one of her friends?

I re-read everything. She said she was free on Wed because she doesn't have her kid that day. She didn't specifically say this upcoming Wed, so that was where I fumbled this. A recovery at this point is anyone's guess.

she's only a month into online dating so she has 300 messages to sift through, I get it, but yea, not a good sign if she is turned off that easily.

The other girl I'm dating is spending the night tomorrow night, so all good.
The challenge with Boston is that the talent pool is very, very weak. An above average girl - say a 6 or 7 - gets the attention a 9 or 10 would due to the lack of inventory.
It's a very delicate situation. You can't overact and you just have to play it as cool as possible.

She said it was a non issue. She wouldn't date like 5-4 or anything like that.
