I quite often feel I missed out big time n want kids of my own. But now especially. But it is so brilliant seeing dads my age taking their kids along & giving them something so wonderful and getting to share that with them.

I've never been this excited for a movie. This has been a real rough year, and I've been holding out for this to close it out.

Those numbers have become so inflated with the rising cost of tickets. I bet this thing will have staying power though with strong word of mouth and repeat viewings.

Loved it. Met with what I was expecting. They're set up really well for the next 2 episodes.

I absolutely think Harrison signed on only on the condition that Han dies. It was great to see him really go for it one last time. The Han/Chewie relationship was so great & probably the best extension of the OT.

Definitely understand the harsh critics of JJ, but I am a fan of his & this was really a perfect culmination/distillation of everything he's done before. You could feel how much fun this movie was to make, all around

You nailed it. While Leia/Han was one of the few elements that fell somewhat flat (mostly because of CF), JJ did a great job showing the unbreakable bond between Han/Chewie, Poe/BB-8, R2/Luke and ultimately Rey/Finn. I was moved by each of those connections.

had a thought

We dont know that max Von sydows character wasn't watching over Rey as Obi wan did Luke, from a distance

I'm thinking he had the map in his keeping for when she came to him going my parents don't seem to be coming back do you know how I can find them? But the rise of the first order has forced leia to send Poe to get the map back cos they need to find Luke now, and leia knows Rey is Lukes daughter but doesn't tell her when they meet cos it's not her place to, she should hear that from Luke firsthand
