We have some boneheads here but the tube is a cesspool.

That's not to say that Courtney hasn't behaved obnoxiously over the years, but you might too if your drug-addicted husband killed himself in a wildly violent way inside your family home, leaving you to explain this all to your now-fatherless young daughter.

In any event, plenty of male rock singers have acted much more obnoxiously and attracted much less criticism.

For the record I'm no huge CL/Hole fan but I very much enjoy some of their stuff for sure. And I recently had cause to read the transcript of Courtney's speech (?) at Kurt's remembrance thingy outside their house but a few days after his death. Gotta say I think she handled it really well all things considered and it was good of her to speak, and in particular read the bulk of his note. Not many partner's left behind could have done that.

My opinions about Love's behavior come from personal experience, not some media fueled sexist double standard (which is real and a valid point). All that side though, I could separate art from artist if I thought she made compelling art.

yeah, i like some of Hole stuff. Also the song Mono from her solo album.

I will say, just to balance out my negativity here, that "someday you will ache like I ache" is a great line/delivery. That hit me hard as a kid and I remember wanting to like Hole's music because of it. Doll Parts really is a good song.

Maybe one day she'll randomly come up on a Spotify mix and I'll hear what y'all hear. Maybe one day I'll come around. Stranger things have happened.

Doll Parts, Celebrity Skin, Jennifer´s Body, Malibu, Hit So Hard, Miss World are super good songs

Just listen to Malibu and imagine someone else is singing it. That's their best song.

Yeah, Malibu is amazing. One of the great songs from the 90s for sure. Also, Michael Beinhorn has great stories about the recording...he had quite a year with this album and Mechanical Animals.

No, he did a Podcast a few years ago, and talked about some stories there, and some Korn album. He talked about the budgets of those albums, something that doesnt exist anymore.

Also, i remember back in the day stories about how long they take to record drums.
