joe, people's gripes about the show today vs. what it used to be are somewhat legitimate. and they're certainly nothing new given the way season 7 was handled. you may mock them or discount them altogether because you really liked the way that your favorite character saved all of humanity by appearing out of nowhere straight out of mortal kombat and by stabbing the existential threat that seemingly no one could conquer in the leg with a dagger after he and his entire army of previously menacing white walkers stood there and did nothing, all in a matter of 10 seconds. but that doesn't mean people's opinions are wrong because you disagree with them.

I’ve seen that you don’t think Jaime should get off free either.

By that logic, most of the characters on the show deserve the same.

This show was built on the idea that actions have consequences and that mistakes will be punished, no matter who you are. They've completely abandoned that in the last few seasons and it's to the detriment of the show.
