Gotta say, i like it more. Yeah, the comedy tone is fucking absurd and it hurts the movie. But im at peace with what Luke is doing here. Im a little mad that we dont get to see a cool fight with him again. Maybe in ep 9? please.
But i was very emotional during Yoda´s appearance and specially during Leia and Luke´s moment. And yeah, the scene with Kylo and Rey looking to each other and fighting the guards is pretty awesome....also Snoke is great guys.

I still think Poe and Finn are misused and the whole sequence in the casino is lousy.

Did you cry ?
Yoda, luke and Leia, Luke’s sacrifice?

It’s ok we all did you’re among friends.

I didnt cry but it was a very cool moment to see Luke and Yoda watching the fire...Specially because it was old Yoda, all wise and joking around. It was a very cool moment yeah.

Leia and Luke...well, i really wanted a different scene. I agree with Hamill, we needed the three back together...but the scene itself is very good. Its emotional and at the same time its very down key.

Just got back from seeing it for the third time. It was my brother's first time, and he loved it. He said he'll sleep on it and let me know more detailed thoughts tomorrow :D

Also, Rey/Kylo vs the guards in Snoke's throne room might be my favourite SW moment ever.

Rey kylo and Snoke in the throne room is the best sequence in all Star Wars for me. No even small doubts about it l. No other sequence in Star Wars is built and painted and portrayed so perfectly. It’s stunning.

That brings up an important point. Why didn't George Lucas go back and change all of the Alec Guiness force ghosts with Ewan McGregor?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

No. If anything we get true Yoda. Free of his burdens. Happy and still mischievous but wiser than ever and easier and as free in sharing his wisdom.

I loved Yoda in this. Ok the huge adrenaline fist pump squuueeee aside, after many viewings this is still Yoda. Telling truths and hard facts. And Luke knows.

I loved him in this film. His intro with the camera panning past the back of his head.. just magic.

Hmm...

If you can think of one I’m all ears. The throne room sequence is three or even four separate sequences in one and they’re beautiful.

Nothing in Star Wars does that like that. The Death Star run maybe? It’s not beautiful

I've never been a bigger fan of Star Wars.

Though, I'm not sure if that makes or disputes your point.

Took my kids tonight. They loved it. They laughed at Snoke getting annihilated. They were in awe at the throne room scene. They thought Luke was a badass in his final act.

Second viewing for me, and I still really enjoyed it.

We'll probably go see it again after Christmas.

Did anyone else think it was going to end with Luke walking out through the fire was going to face the first order?

Would have been a hell of a cliff hanger

I remember thinking the movie would end on that iconic shot of him standing there just before that.

God, how shitty would it have been to have Luke live for two more years just to have him die five minutes into IX.

Given everything else that’s thrown the fandom into a war setting I think it ending that way would have seen this reaction but tenfold.
