I don't think BOB is nearly as bad as some of you guys. I just think his time with the band has sailed. I was always hoping they go back to work with Adam Kasper.

It's not just his influence on their songwriting (or what songs make the records anyway), I think the last two albums sound terrible too. There's no air or life to the sound. He worked on some good stuff way back when but I definitely think he's lost his touch (or his hearing) in recent years.

BOB recently produced Mastodon's masterpiece album Emperor of Sand in 2017 and another Mastodon masterpiece in 2009 with Crack the Skye. So I don't know what the fuck is up with him.

oh, new music would be awesome along with a promise that Can't Deny Me will remain a single and not on this album. Think about it: if they release a new song on Friday, it can't be Cant Deny Me so it might be the real or new single for the album?????

I have this memory of standing in line at the merch tent on the Sunday between the two Wrigley shows in 2018. One guy asked what was on one of the shirts and I replied "Can't Deny Me". His immediate reply was, "oh, that song sucks." Multiple people around us chimed in to repeat the phrase.

Because it was almost two years ago by the time this thing comes out. Im assuming, or hoping, that whatever plans they originally had changed and here we are with better material.
