List every movie that's better than Barbarian
Sure shoot me a list of every movie that came out in the last 5 years and I'll send it back to you with Barbarian at the bottom.

How dare you.
What made you hate it?

I can't take it when characters act in a way no human being would act in order for the plot to move forward. The measuring of square footage is when it lost me for good.

I hear ya, but I saw it as more of a satirical, tongue-in-cheek kind of thing.

Speaking of characters acting in realistic ways - I loved Talk to Me and sadly, that seemed exactly how dumb teenagers would act if they got their hands on the ability to conjure spirits.
Great movie. Not “scary” per se, but very unsettling.

Barbarian was hella overrated but not bad
"Totally Killer" (2023, starring Kiernan Shipka) is a stylish, smartly witty, classically Halloween-flavoured good time of a slasher
for a great double-bill, go back in time and pair it up with "The Final Girls" (2015) starring Taissa Farmiga!

The Final Girls is one of my favorite recent slashers. Really emotional. I think it made me cry when I first watched.

V/H/S/85 was actually solid all the way through, one of the stories really struck me and...
- Spoiler: show
- I really loved how they tied two together.

As far as horror goes I feel like you've tended to see more as opposed to less but I could be off there.
That said, the two films have nothing to do with each other as far as plot (obviously an anthology) or overlap with creators (I'm pretty sure).
Ms Harmless wrote:94 was great, 99 sucked
I haven't seen 99 but I'll certainly reserve judgement until I do.

This. Except for the last segment, To Hell and Back. The directors also did Deadstream last year, which was great.

The Exorcist: Believer.
Yeah, what a letdown. Most of the movie is half baked and doesnt make sense. Characters are hollow. Why the fuck bring Ellen Burstyn again for using her like this? This is supposed to be a trilogy? Why make this one the first entry?
They really jump into this one without knowing what to do really.
