Puns aside (momentarily), I just want to point out that they have him on their financial records as both a co-founder and a board member. I'm with you on this, Strat. Obviously a terrible look for EV, but this stuff has a way of getting distorted, especially when famous people and copious amounts of money are involved. Not saying he's not entirely in the wrong here, but it sounds terribly out-of-character.

I'm in an administrative position overseeing a very large team, and since it's a college there is a lot of reflexive hostility and suspicion among faculty towards everything that we do as administrators. And folks rarely have access to 100% of the relevant information, and often fill in gaps with assumptions that are either incredibly misinformed or wildly off base. And sometimes they don't. But my lived experience over the past 8 years has really slowed my rush to judgement in cases like this. It is rarely as simple as the stories we want to tell make them out to be.

Of course sometimes it is. But it's hard to know up front

a lot of people here love Riot Act, and for me Vitalogy is their best album
