I certainly wouldn't complain about a series of two-disc compilations from various older tours, eg. Asia/Australia/NZ 1995, Europe 1996, etc.

I'd really like to see Sony take the reins on something archival like this -- they have done a beautiful job on Bob Dylan and Miles Davis sets in recent years, I would really like to see a "bootleg series"-type compilation set, with nice packaging, liner notes, photos, clear tracing of source material, etc., for some of the eras you describe. I realize PJ doesn't generate the same general historical interest that those artists do, but something like that would be so much cooler to me than a disc with a stick-on label and a bunch of sector-boundary errors stuffed into a cheap cardboard sleeve. Even the Orpheum show, for as much as people panned it for being incomplete or whatever else, seemed like at least some thought went into making it a nice product -- I would love to see an "Australia 1998" set along those lines, that feels not just like an audio document but a larger attempt to capture some overall sense of what that period meant to the band.

I also propose that any set of this nature should be curated by Spenno, ridleybradout, or another of RM's knowledgeable and discerning mixmakers, rather than the goons the band typically defers to for tasks of this sort or (worse) the band themselves.

Indeed, I've given up buying the physical bootlegs and just grab the digital files as the packaging at present certainly doesn't justify the additional cost.

I'm very glad to have the older shows available at all but I do think they'd be better served by ceding control over things like this and the various reissues to someone with an experienced, archival viewpoint.

Reading 2006. Short, sharp and absolutely on fire. The Europe 2006 run is absolutely excellent.

Listening to a little "Friends At High Tide" (ridleybradout's Australia 2003 comp) -- great stuff, especially the "Riot Act" songs.

Has there been made a good, comprehensive 2003 comp similar to "Live on Three Legs?"

Lowlight79 made an 8 disc 2003 mix back in the day, but wants to make a few tweaks before 're-releasing' it (with artwork by yours truly). I suspect that will get a look in once he's done with the 2011-2014 mix

In 2010 I went to Hartford and Boston and thought they were really great shows. On paper, the setlists for Newark and the two New York shows also look really good. I think this five-show run to close the tour is a bit underrated because the bootlegs sound so bad.

Agreed, Boston was a great show but the bootleg is horrible.

Listening to Nashville '03 this morning while I have my coffee -- what a gem of a show, five "Binaural" songs in the main set, flawlessly executed except for Ed repeating a verse in "Gods' Dice," beautiful "Oceans" opener, the whole works. It's also just one of those shows where everyone -- Stone especially -- seems to be a little more locked in than usual, adding little things that seem unique to this particular show (out of nowhere he adds a lead between the first and second verses of "Insignificance" that really perked my ears up).

And I know the spoken word part is pretty ridiculous, but I really like "Bushleaguer."

Been working my way through 2000 boots the last few weeks, some I've heard before some I havent. Hadn't heard New Orleans 8/14 before, but it sounds really ,really fn good.

I listened to Mexico City II 2005. I find it incredible that Eddie can sing It's Ok in Spanish, but forgets so many other lyrics. It's like he was possessed.

That April day in 2003 is one of may favorite PJ memories. Great weather, outdoor venue. I had perfect seats, like 4th row center. Me and a buddy just drove down, hung out, no stress, just a perfect day.

I always thought it was an underrated show, everything sounded so damn crisp and clean, Oceans, Cropduster, Parting Ways, and Bushleaguer always stood out to me as being better than I thought they could be. I had never heard the Oceans opener, and I never particularly liked the other three until I heard them at this show.

Still memorable to this day. It helped that I listened to this boot way too much back in '03 / '04.

great Black, even better Insignificance. Nice slow intro on the latter, cool sounding guitars, Vedder's last "its instilled....to wanna live" given with great intensity.

Worcester II 2013

This show is rife with mistakes and the like, but I enjoyed Cropduster a lot. Great Black>Jeremy run in the encore, as well.

Detroit 2000

I wanted to listen to a man ape show today. I definately don't dig the In My Trees of this era. Crazy Mary is better with Boom too.
