I think the way the opening lyrics trip over the start of the song is offensively bad. The guitars try to prop it up but Ed just insists on falling down again and again and again. And then the song is over and I don't care.

Yup, same. It's just a ho-hum song for me, as it most of the S/T album, as is BS, as is LB. S/T is the best of the last three though.

I prefer LB to S/T. But that could be a "newness" thing, too. Let's see if I still like LB as much after 14 years of listening.

I had to sing it to myself to be sure it worked...

It did... I belly laughed a bit.

Interesting. Can one "belly laugh" only "a bit"? Perhaps. But I've never considered it, really. I guess, to me, a belly laugh is a hardy, massive, uncontrollable thing. And hard to do only a little of. Maybe what I can a guffaw is what you're calling a bit of a belly laugh.

YOU CAN GUFFAWS?!

Hell, I didn't even know they could be preserved, but you're probably correct and I'm probably... um, NVM...

EDIT: a guffaw is a synonym to belly laugh, and although unrestrained, it can indeed only last a little bit on the rare occasion...

I would can guffaws if I could, though.

Yeah, a guffaw is more of a burst. A kind of belly laugh, but brief.

I wonder if 43 pages is enough ammo to convince Wisist to listen to this album.

Why? This album isn't bad at all. It's certainly not the pile that LB is. If he's heard BS or LB then this would be a treat.

I like S/T quite a bit, even with its flaws. I just think the streak is kinda cool. But, yeah, the album is a fun listen. And there are more than a few really great songs on it.

Comatose is the only song on this album that I don't like.

Comatose with no fear of falling is one of those brilliant lyrics that says a great deal in a tiny space and no one appreciates it

Maybe but he's rhyming "falling" with "falling"

That does irritate me. Like the double use of "masses" in War Pigs.
