Panthers are fun to watch, such a strangely successful team.

You sound like a Dolphins fan circa 2009.

That late? How about the instant he was drafted in 2007?

I wonder how many sure TDs Ginn has dropped in his NFL career so far. I'd guess around 30. I know he dropped 5 or 6 when he was with the Cards for a year.

The group I was watching the game with definitely noticed that. We didn't know what the hell he meant.

The thing he said we were laughing about the most was when before the opening kickoff he said "the Cowboys won the toss and they deferred". It was mostly the way he pronounced deferred, but he sounded like the Swedish Chef when he said it.

My wife and I have noticed that there have been a number of moments this season where commentators have begun talking about head injuries...and then suddenly they switch direction in mid-sentence. I've got to imagine they have a director yelling, "Abort! Abort!" into their ear.

Are they really that far from being competitive? I always believed that Caldwell was just not a good head coach and I'm sure there's a few roster problems, but they don't seem to me like they should sell arguably their best offensive asset even if he's on the downturn.

he's 30, trade him for picks while he still has value. they need to rebuild their entire defense.

Yeah, and they show far fewer replays of head injuries now.

they need a complete rebuild from the top down. if they could shed bloated contracts (which is obviously easier said than done) they need to do it and start from scratch with new management leading the way. most people got fooled from last year's team. but it was really a paper tiger, and got extremely lucky in some come-from-behind wins that, but for them, would've seen them miss the playoffs (again).

fun fact: the Houston Texans, who have only been in existence since 2002, have more playoff wins than the Lions during the entire Super Bowl era.
