OK, so tell me the lottery numbers now.

And why was Opie the one who was bandied about? What is he doing that said, "Hey, he's going to do Star Wars."

Oh man. An Arrested Development Star Wars movie would be the best. And since they said they were fired for improvising, why not?

I think Ron Howard should have done it in the first place. Totally safe and secure but geezes...not like the guy hasn't directed some of the best movies of all time.

This whole thing is such a fucking joke. I feel so badly for Bradford Young. He and Donald Glover are the only reasons I even give half a shit about this movie.

It wasn’t just a question of tone. The variations added up to significantly change the story. They may have been brought aboard to give young Han Solo a wiseacre vibe and an irreverent style, but Lucasfilm still felt the directors had a responsibility to tell the story as written.

When dailies began rolling in featuring improvisation from the actors and new ideas from the directors that significantly parted ways with the script, the relationship with the home office at Lucasfilm became fraught. As principal photography for the movie approached its end, it became clear that the filmmakers and producers did not share the same vision for some critical scenes.
Now THAT is interesting. If that's true, then I may actually be on Team Lucasfilm.
