From what my gun nut friends tell me, all guns, including handguns, are super easy to buy in Arizona.

The "gun show loophole" is used extensively here and gun dealers will happily make gun sales private and sell them "off-licence". Most gun dealers here have "agents" who act as private sellers. I believe Tucson (Give 'em back to Mexico!) is the only city in AZ that has passed specific "private seller" and gun show laws that requires being linked into universal background checks.

Also, as someone who has driven back and forth to Cali 60+ times in the last 15 years, I can say the chances of you having your car searched for guns is zero. Although to be fair, I'm white.

For those of you (especially those outside the US) who wonder why it's so tough for America to ban the gun, I thought this look t the NRA's power would help a bit.

that would require a gov't agency, with certain authority over who has guns. not only would this agency take all the guns, but it would be the only ones with the power to have guns.

when it comes to school and workplace shootings...ask yourself-who benefits from it?

What ISIS wants is irrelevant. They are a psychopathic death cult. Giving them what they want might be the solution. If death is what they want, give it to them if it will mean the end of them.

If a school shooter wants to commit suicide by cop, that doesn't mean the cops shouldn't oblige him.

I'm not saying bombing is the answer, just that ISIS "wanting it" is besides the point.

It is the point. People saying ISIS wants this aren't talking about denying them a toy because they've been bad. Bombing is not likely to be effective (if it was we would have done it a long time ago) and is likely to legitimate the regime and help them recruit and inspire people like the San Bernadino terrorists
