Human Touch, more so than Lucky Town, is generally considered one of his worst two or three albums. The whole reason why there are two albums is Bruce recorded Human Touch, didn't love it, and decided to write and record some more. Instead of doing another double album, he just released two simultaneously. Lucky Town is fairly decent.darth_vedder wrote:I haven't listened to any songs, other than Roll The Dice now, from Human Touch. Is the general consensus that this album and the one released around the same time are both some of his weaker offerings?LoathedVermin72 wrote:"Roll of the Dice" is still available. You're welcome.darth_vedder wrote:Since that a-hole dct took my pick, I have no idea what I'm doing for my final. May need to revisit Tracks or Tunnel of Love. Maybe I'll hit up The River for 3 songs off that one.
Both have some real good songs, even better if you seek out the stripped down solo versions that he played during the Devils and Dust tour (and early 90's solo shows). Once all picks are in I will highlight a few. I almost went with one in particular with my last pick.

The 90s (starting with Human Touch/Lucky Town) are generally considered to be Bruce's nadir, with the caveat that he came up for air with two well received soundtrack offerings (Streets of Philadelphia and Secret Garden).darth_vedder wrote:I haven't listened to any songs, other than Roll The Dice now, from Human Touch. The Rising still has some songs left, I may grab something from it.

Glad to see 5 of my 7 on the list, though I was a little surprised Kitty's Back didn't make the top 100. It did make the readers poll "10 Best Deep Cuts" however, coming in at #10.

I'm trying to narrow my picks down now. It's a good problem to have and shows how many outstanding song this fella has. This has been a fun tournament, glad I played along.
