There's still so much great stuff left on The Rising.
Human Touch, more so than Lucky Town, is generally considered one of his worst two or three albums. The whole reason why there are two albums is Bruce recorded Human Touch, didn't love it, and decided to write and record some more. Instead of doing another double album, he just released two simultaneously. Lucky Town is fairly decent.darth_vedder wrote:I haven't listened to any songs, other than Roll The Dice now, from Human Touch. Is the general consensus that this album and the one released around the same time are both some of his weaker offerings?LoathedVermin72 wrote:"Roll of the Dice" is still available. Maybe I'll hit up The River for 3 songs off that one.
The 90s (starting with Human Touch/Lucky Town) are generally considered to be Bruce's nadir, with the caveat that he came up for air with two well received soundtrack offerings (Streets of Philadelphia and Secret Garden).darth_vedder wrote:I haven't listened to any songs, other than Roll The Dice now, from Human Touch. Indeed. I've always thought Paradise was a terrific Bruce track, not many share that opinion.
