I'm so mad that the story has shifted (been clarified) to "catering truck" because when the NYT first broke the story it said "catering cart." Which is WAY funnier and made me think of the time Andy smuggled Michael Scott into a meeting on a cheese cart on The Office.

But also, Trump has so broken my brain that I'm actually wondering if it's even true. Maybe it's a fake story planted by Trump because he's so butt hurt about teports that his new plane isn't safe and they made him take the old one.

Now he can be like, " no, see, fake news! It wasn't that my new plane isn't safe, it's just as safe as the old one, I wasn't allowed to take either safe plane! Both are equally safe! The same safe!"

It's absolutely a cart, which can be referred to as a truck, but they want you to think it was an automobile box truck or something because its less embarrassing.

Good grief. Would this even be a thing if the White House wasn’t making it a thing?

How long do you think they’d wait, after AF1 was shot down and everyone assumed the president was dead, before they announced he was actually safe? Three days, or is that too gauche?

As soon as the other plane he was actually on landed. He’s too much of a narcissist to keep that info hidden.

It is. But often in reporting they'll refer to the plane that's typically used as Air Force One.

I also kind of doubt the secret flight he was on was flying under the official call sign.

I think he would wait at least a day to see what people said about him, Tom-Sawyer style.
