clips are definitely shinier but I think there's plenty of differentiation between the subtle elements, evinced by the fact that I can like, hear them and stuff

Stop this nonsense, the album will only improve with the final product

There's still time to insert a baby's cry into a song or two for the official release.

Clips are too glossy and sound abysmal. Listening party recording must be a different mix.

Downgrading my ranking from 5 to 1. Another blunder by Pearl Scam

The record shop recording is better than the actual production on the album.

Save the link. You’re gonna need it.
that's almost Trag levels of trolling

It’s really not. And I take exception to that. That’s an insult.

If I wanted to troll I would have said dark matter is a terribly misleading first single off this

It’s like all those Star Wars trailers for the sequels. Promises one thing and delivers an entirely different thing with no relation to what was promised.

That woulda been trolling. And it woulda been true too

Did you like Gigaton? I can't remember.

I like Gigaton a whole better than this. And this is great.

The iphone leak is clearly a different recording or take. In WFS, there's a transcendent and ethereal scream from a baby that sends the song into another dimension. In the observer clip, this isn't present.

Why is this band intent on sabotaging themselves

This is one of the reasons I'm waiting, I think I read on here somewhere that it was hard to pick out the actual instrumentation of the tracks from the leak. I'm not really an audiophile, and this is only for my perspective, but I feel like there's no way I could give the album a fair shake, good or bad, with that kind of sound. I feel like I'd either be filling in what I want the song to be, or the opposite, holding it against the song because I can't hear what they're trying to do.

Fair shout. You’re right to hold off if that’s where your head is.

Jeez you're really hating on this eh

Not at all?

Just people here should temper expectations. That’s all.

I thought it was a good interview and that it explains a lot of the immediacy that accompanies this album.

They released the worst songs on this as singles, it’s kinda amazing.
I love Waiting For Stevie but I don’t get when people say they released the worst songs as singles. Running is definitely a questionable release but I think Dark Matter was the best choice for a first single judging by its success. They both aren’t my favorite songs on the album but they are still damn good to my ears.
