Re: The Running Thread
Did 3.2 miles at around a 9:19 pace on the treadmill last night. Felt pretty good without trying to really push it so I’m very happy with the pace

3 miles in 27:42. My splits were not what they felt like, but it felt good overall. My heart rate Tuesday was 176 and tonight was 177, so not sure why.

he's finally found his sports niche. he wasn't bad at baseball, but had terrible anxiety that he would let the team down if he made an out. he wasn't aggressive enough for football. and none of his friends play basketball. he likes golf, but gets too frustrated.

i'm not sure what his one mile was, but his two mile was 11:02 (he's got to learn to start better out of the gate; he was bottom 1/3 out of 202 runners by the 300 meter mark, which is a lot of ground to make up with a narrow, roped off track). he sprints for at least the last 200 meters and makes up a lot ground, which leaves everyone thinking that he's leaving a lot in the tank.

3.5 miles at 9:44 pace. I only walked from 3.20-3.23. It sometimes feels nice to just go slow and steady. The weather right now helps immensely also. The heat and humidity kill me. I'm going to lose months of progress every year, it seems.

Re: The Running Thread
After 7 straight days of working out (some running, some weight lifting/cross-training), I finally had a day off this past Saturday. Then I ran 5 on Sunday and 5 again this morning. Both clocked at about a 9:30 pace. But I didn't even get 24 hours rest between runs. So my legs are tired af right now.
