Celts could have used Noel at that price.

The league should take over the 76ers franchise if they aren't ever going to try.

The problem with Danny is he wants to not only win the trade but embarrass his trade partner. No one wants to deal with him and be the next guy he fleeces. So even reasonable trades teams are thinking what is Ainge up to here and passes.

I think you're giving Ainge way too much credit/vastly underestimating the confidence other GM's have in themselves.

Him and Valentine could be one of the ugliest backcourts in the NBA!!
Honestly though the deal makes no sense. At least I don't have to watch Doug anymore.

I'm not trying to take anything away from Danny Boy. I'm sure the first sentence is true, but as an example, Belichick and Ozzie Smith have been making trades, getting amazing value for two decades and yet they have no trouble finding trading partners.
If you're an NBA trade and you are afraid to trade with another GM because you're afraid of getting fleeced by him, you need to get out of that line of work.
Maybe you're right, but that just doesn't add up to me.

I just think Ainge was patient. At least in terms of this deadline.

I wonder if people will remember how good Chris Mullin was now that all this is happening for Golden State.

The Pelicans have like 3 guards on their roster.

The more I think about it the more I'm annoyed that the Celts didn't go after Noel. It sounds like its more likely Phili will get two seconds instead of a 1st because of protections. Even Cousins who I wanted no part of was so cheap why not take a flier. Blah.
