I hated the Falcon reveal. So telegraphed.

shut it..that reveal was amazing...it's visible in the periphery for a couple of shots if you look for it..

but that reveal was perfect..pure star wars

Making it the 2nd option after blowing up the first would have not been lazy. There essentially was no visual reveal because you knew exactly what they were about to show.

I was fully expecting them to be saved by Han and chewie. It seemed obvious a second or two before it happened but I enjoyed it

hate when people make me realise shit...

the whole sequence with Han, the two gangs and the dangerous animals..that whole sequence serves no purpose really..except to establish Han is back being a scoundrel, but the story didnt need it at that length

That sequence was so short it didn't really bother me.

I enjoyed it but I can see how that could have been screen time that went to something else

I was expecting a trainwreck, so I guess he was ok?

I actually thought the three leads were the best part of the movie. I thought they had good chemistry. Its all the old stuff I didn't care for.

With as big as the Star Wars Universe is, though, there is so much potential for new or even tangent storylines from the original. Copying the original just seems a little lazy and/or pandering.

For one movie I'm ok with it. Hopefully the next two will branch off and do their own thing.

I'm pretty sure in the next one Luke will have to go off on his own to further his training, only to abandon that training when his friends are betrayed by someone they thought they could trust. Also, someone will fall into a sarlacc pit and then 30 years later whoever owns the rights to the franchise will say he magically survived so they could use him in episode 14.

I guarantee Luke is going to train Rey just like Yoda trained him.

This is like complaining that they put light sabers back into the movie.
