This feels destined to be their version of U2's Pop, where they went and planned a big year of touring thinking they'd definitely have the album done and ready to go in time. So despite the long stretch of time since Lightning Bolt we'll somehow still end up with something that feels rushed and unfinished.
I'm also trying to convince myself of some low expectations because I really do want to like a new album, and I'm still holding on to some hope.
