I think it would be faster to list the ways in which it didn't mirror the first one. Again it's not that there arent similar themes or plot points. There are - but I think they're part of the basic storytelling language of this universe, and they were all well executed

I loved the movie, and I'm sure my kids will too. Sure it's echoing the original in ways, but it could've been worse: they could've made a reboot.
