I got lucky with my showing - I think the theater added it at the last minute, so it was almost empty.

I don’t even want to go to see it a second time. I’d just do it to see if my opinion changed.

A first for my historical SW theater experience.

That pic of TLJ sea cow toy is hilarious.

You and I seemed to have similar feelings on this movie. I know everyone is saying go see it again, it gets better, but for me it really didn't. It reaffirmed some things for me, but that's about it.

Pal of mine had an interesting take. It feels more like ‘the last Jedi :a Star Wars story’ than it does Star Wars the last Jedi. Not totally unfair but I think it speaks more to our expectations of what Star Wars is or should be. Rians literally upended every single aspect of that and I think it’s great. It’s not a reset. But it’s a rewiring of our view of Star Wars rather than Star Wars itself being rewired.

You do know Pitch Perfect 3 is out now, though, right?

And since I never had these expectations or ever really understood what anyone ever meant when they talked about stuff like that, the movie was super easy to accept for me. It's just as Star Wars as any of the Star Wars. There is no recipe.

In the trailer we see Rey climbing out of the water in what we know now is the cave. But wasn’t Luke standing there in the trailer? Was he there to act like Yoda for him at the tree on dagobah? And they cut it out?

Also the finger snaps..nod to the ring theory ?

one of those impressively overanalyzed think pieces designed to make the prequels seem better than they are.

Saw this today. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. Mixed I guess. Really cool parts and really dumb parts. I mean they could have cut the entire Finn and Rose (was that her name?) arc...like completely. I liked the Leia in space part and when Luke wasn't grumpy. I really like when Kylo gets angry. The throne room was awesome. Was Luke the blue streak in the sky that kid saw? If he a force ghost Jedi trainer now? I don't know it felt more like a three episode arc of a TV show than a movie. It was OK....or maybe it was good. I don't know.

Disney called. They threatened him to kill his family.
