They are making the news sound worse than it is so they can create a hero narrative in the playoffs that will hopefully get rid of the pussy/coward label he has rightfully been slapped with. It's brilliant really.

The only thing would be that it seems Durant gets injured a lot. Although this was more of a freak occurrence with zaza falling into him.

I didn't state it clearly enough. A lot of people hate on the Warriors because KD plays for them. They cheer against him and the Warriors. I don't see why people cheer against the Cavs for several players chasing rings with them. Does that make sense?

Sure. It's what verb said, then. Because KD is a top 3 player in the league and Bogut and Williams aren't.

Zaza and David West are the better comparison for ring-chasing. I think most people sort of expect vets on the back 9 to do this. Their contribution is usually so marginal that it doesn't really matter.

People spent 4 years hating LeBron for ring-chasing in Miami and more than a few people felt he was basically doing the same thing by returning to Cleveland. And there's been a fair amount of LeBron-mocking for wanting more playmakers and getting Korver, etc.

Plenty of hate to go around.

I think so but it won't ultimately be the difference. The superstars will decide it in the playoffs, as always.

Sure, if anything it gives Lebron the ability to take a few plays off and/or rest to gear up for the playoffs. Between Korver and Deron Williams one of them will win the Cavs a playoff game or two.

Williams will definitely help, though I hope it doesn't hurt the LeBron-Korver-Jefferson-Derrick Williams-Frye lineup they've been running out there that has been killing teams.

As long as Lebron is healthy though, there's not a team in the east worth a crap compared to the Cavs.

2-5 are all middling average teams that could change spots with each other or win their playoff series only to get smoked by the Cavs in the 2nd round or ECF.

Playing this regular season has been a complete waste of time.
