It could be worse since the seasons are short, and episodes all around 45 minutes.

I know people hate hearing "stick with it, it gets better!", but it really does.
My impression of those first bunch of episodes was that it was a "poor man's Mad Men set at a tech company in the 80s", but it really comes into its own towards the end of season 1, and from season 2 on it's top-notch television.
