Sure. But the larger point is that there's no reason to rebuild it.

And if it isn't addressed any further, which most of us expect it won't be, then it's logical and satisfying to think that they don't rebuild. It's not an answer I need, at any rate. That's all.

The reason they show Jon at that point is because he was supposed to be the hero who saves the day, but he’s clearly not in any position to do so.

Why was the wall built? To keep out what’s on the other side i.e. white walkers/wildlings
Are those threats still there? No
With no threats, is the wall necessary?
