How's the model coming?
Star Wars is all about toys for me, so I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one regressing into childhood.

It's not really. Got it primed this morning but the correct base colours needed to start are sold out all over Ireland and the U.K. So I'm stuck unless I wanna be a heretic and just use a different shade of white/grey mix.
And that's blasphemy according to the falcon modelling community.

Intimidating too..some of the paint jobs by people on this are incredible..theyre even lighting it up in some instances using fiber optics & LEDS..and this thing is only about 9 or 10 inches long!
And check out this Imperial Shuttle converted from the Hasbro toy, and custom hangar bay:

Funny you mention it. I have a ton of fibre optic cable upstairs but i have absolutely o experience with electronics and wiring..there's a ton of people have lit their builds but i have no clue how to do that or what id even be asking for in the hardware place.
you can buy premade lighting kits to install, but their all sold out everywhere for this particular model at this scale sadly.

squirts would have been easier to fix.
painted the red flashes on the top side..when it dried it wasnt only ferrari red(its meant to be dark red almost burgundy), id used enamel paint..
made a caustic soda mix..painted it on the red to take it off..turned my back for 2 seconds and my dog had knocked the tub over it..melted all the paint.
