The storytelling and structure of ep 1 is amazing (ep 2 is a little lacking, if I'm totally honest). The way ep 2 is shot is sooooo good. I love Filoni as a creator. And his directing is getting stronger, to be sure. But I wish Steph had directed ep 1, too.

Any idea who the black body suit dude who escaped Ahsoka is? Surely not just some random peon. He could really throw down.

Costume design has been ridiculously on point right across the board. Also the ships/vehicles. This is some quality shit.

I'm sexually aroused by Baylan. Goddamn he is a presence. His voice. his look. The way he moves. really really sucks the actor passed.

His name is Marrok. He's an Inquisitor. They were employed by the Emperor to help Vader hunt down and destroy the Jedi after Order 66. He's probably a former Jedi. Most of the Inquisitors are/were former Jedi. Seems like now he's a former Inquisitor and current mercenary. But it's possible there will be some weird reveal. His look is very similar to the Eighth Brother (the Inquisitors are all #'d brothers and sisters) who seemingly died at Ahsoka's hand in Rebels.
