i'll be without a home coffee machine for the immediate future. time to get my brew on the outside and become a melbourne coffee snob.

Bonafide coffee snob here. I’ll say that US third-wave coffee culture blows Italy and France out of the water. I got a lot of bad espresso that wasn’t dialed in over there.

Before we went to Europe I was resigned to the fact that I’d need to drink espresso the entire trip, and was pleasantly surprised to find some great third-wave in Paris and Rome.

Yeah I didn’t find anything in Paris to write home about. We found a great place around day 7, in Annecy. I swear I heard the angels’ trumpets when I took my first sip.
