Has there been a statement from both sides or is it just a one side of the story version that is being jumped all over?
The video is of the aftermath directly following the shooting. The man had been shot through the open car window - hard to imagine that you can shoot a man in the arm from that angle and not also hit his torso.
America, ban the fucking gun already.

i would rather that we develop robots to engage in traffic inquiries and run the risk of a skynet style human enslavement than continue to have dum dum humans with guns and emotions assigned to that responsibility
we can't repeal gun laws apparently in the U.S.
then can we repeal tail light laws ?
the number of people who will die this year at the hands of cops who pulled them over for a busted tail light might be more than the number of collision deaths caused due to a busted tail light

We are living in the first act of a post-apocalyptic movie.

More like an opening credits sequence. But otherwise yeah.

Absolutely astonishing news.

I'm pretty shocked that someone saw the news of the police shootings and reacted in such an efficient and vicious way in a matter of days or hours. To just rage shoot 11 cops would seem so impossible to do but clearly it's very possible.

The outrage is coming to a head for a lot of people. I knew that this was possible and thought we might see something like it, but never like this.

I'm surprised you guys are so surprised by this. It kinda feels like business as usual. Or, at least, inevitable in our current state.

Yeah. It says something that this makes me feel nothing.

It wouldn't have surprised me if it was something that was planned out in advance. This would seem pretty reactionary and with little time to plan.

If there are bombs downtown that would be even more surprising to me. Like, you just whip up some bombs you have sitting around the house to bring down to this protest that was essentially a spur of the moment thing?

I have told my experiences with cops too many times here, already.
I am not surprised by anything law enforcement does, frankly. I'm only surprised when they display real humanity, and even then I view it with (probably unyielding) skepticism. I'm not surprised by a hideous response like this, either...but I am deeply saddened in that (for me) so much of the moral offense is lost when the outrage becomes measurably worse than the cause.

No wonder people want movies about perfect heroes to solve all the problems without breaking a sweat.

Folks, lets wait until all the facts are in. We shouldnt unfairly judge the shooter without a full understanding of the situation. It is quite possible that he feared for his life and shot those 11 officers in self defense. In the interest of justice, it is key that the shooters salary is paid by taxpayers until this is fully adjudicated.

Is this ongoing? The rumor mill is in overdrive. more than two shooters possible. Eh I'll just check back in a day or two.
The video shows Dylan Noble lying on the ground on June 25 as two officers with their guns drawn stand feet away from him. As officers yell “Keep your hands up” and other commands, one shot is fired. Seconds later, a third officer approaches the pair, and another shot rings out. At one point during the video, Noble can be seen raising his arm and saying, “I’ve been shot.”
