Saw them Friday night and based on the descriptions of this tour I had pretty low expectations, so maybe that helped but man I was blown away. They are absolutely incredible. Granted, I really hope next time I see them it's not just the band because I really love when they have the additional instrumentation and vocals but I thought this show was really, really good even if it was very similar to the last two shows I've seen. Last time I saw them I was disappointed that they basically played the same show as the year before, but this time with about 4 1/2 years between shows that didn't matter as much.

And like Andy said there was a rawness/rasp to Jonsi's voice that I've never heard before that I really enjoyed.

() anniversary set is up for preorder, including signed (on a coa) deluxe lp versions
Thanks for this, the white vinyl set looks glorious. I really need to settle how I'm finally going to display some records.

from the sigur ros youtube channel
( ) Fan Recordings Archive (24/7 stream)
In the years leading up to the release of ( ), tracks from the album were performed live - debuted with no notice and no names. Word spread throughout the fan community about these new tracks, but in the days before social media and YouTube those new songs were shared through fan recordings - WAV files converted to SHN / FLAC, MD5 sums collated, text files written up with notes from those who sneaked their recording devices into a show.
This stream will randomly share some of those early recordings (1999 to 2003) of tracks from the album, some are good, some are muffled and have people talking in the background - but thats how it was back then to experience the new songs.
Thank you to those who recorded and shared recordings back in those days!

I know the new album was due in June but nothing on the official site or bandcamp is a little suspect
