Sound wise it's looking a bit like Devils & Dust/Seeger Sessions - which is a good thing in my book.
Ugh
I dont really hear that at all. Its just Bruce with a guitar with beautiful melody, some lap steel guitar and some strings.

Great song.
that's really nice. like a more cinematic "everybody's talkin."

I saw Tim Heidecker last night and he did the most uncanny Springsteen impression I've ever heard

Can't say that I'm feeling this one...yet.

Upon first listen, I was cringing at the possible schmaltzy cheesiness, but then it totally goes in a different direction. It fills a really lovely place in his catalog that is rarely explored.

My wife had all the lyrics memorized like the day after it came out...I don’t know how she can do that

To be fair to her, there aren't too many lines in this one.

The radio station I tune in to thankfully has this in the rotation. The way the song builds is really lovely, it fills a spot between his adoration of low-key folk and almost-bombast pop; the bastard child of Tom Joad and Sherry Darling's name may very well be Sunshine.
