I know they did a gravity assist at Jupiter, but most of the velocity was just from the boosters during and after liftoff.dimejinky99 wrote:.Also, this probe is travelling 9 miles a second?

It’s so bizarre. 9 miles a second in our terms would see your flesh and skeleton melt.
But in space it’s nothing. As immense a speed as it is.
