Really love the Death Star siren going off in the background throughout the trailer. Wonderful touch.

i took that as a misdirection..cos you hear it go off in the rebel base..just like most of the dialogue matched to the shots..that dialogue doesnt match to the shot its in..thats just how trailers work to keep you guessing

hey Stip...

iconography...

Heavily armored and awe-inducing, the AT-AT positioned itself as the standard of Imperial firepower on the battlefield.
Due to their impressive appearance, it was used as much for psychological effect as for tactical reason.

When General Veers' walker fired upon the rebel power generator, at the climax of the Battle of Hoth, one of his crewmen estimated the range as 17.28km. This is not limited range!
Line-of-sight obstructions are the only practical limitation on the range of the AT-AT's guns, and the intrinsic range of the weapons is very much greater.

AT-AT walkers are essentially invulnerable to conventional artillery fire. Their hull surfaces absorb and dissipate blaster bolts without the vehicle feeling so much as a jolt. The AT-AT walkers are astonishingly resilient to enemy fire from the outside,

The top speed of an AT-AT is ut 60km/hr. Slow?

AT-AT walkers carry forty ground troops plus five speeder bikes.

Wherever it is I was lost in that station once. It looks so totally different to the majority of other stations. The suicide prevention doors on the platform are a dead giveaway.

I haven't read any spoilers or anything for this. Is it possible Felicity's character turns? Is she a double agent? I can't say that I'm more excited by this first trailer than I was by the first Force Awakens trailer, but I'm certainly not less excited.
oh great, another good guy tempted by the dark side.

I'm pretty sure that's just her dressed as imperial officer infiltrating the death star. No double agent type of maneuvering.

Just watched the trailer a second time and liked it a lot more. I noticed more of Edwards' visual touches.

This is going to be great

stip wrote:I watched the FA the other night for the first time since the theaters. The moment where she snatches the lightsaber and ignites it for the first time may be my favorite moment in star wars (i'd have to think about it).

JJ Abrams did a wonderful job shooting the lightsabers (the way they're lit, the sound, making it seem special each time they turn on)
My two favorite scene in TFA are when she snatches the lightsaber and a little while later when she drives Ren's red saber into the ground and the music kicks in....

My fav Star Wars moments are as follows:

1. I am your father (what!?!?)

2. Luke taking off Vader's mask

3. Vader appearing out from the smoke on the rebel ship at the beginning of A New Hope
