the Geranium OCD is super fantastic. It can stand on its own no problem as the main overdrive. Super versatile also in that using it as a boost or back up in other tonezones.

The Channel 2 tone....the high treble tone is VERY high treble. Not really my favorite. Blending the two channels makes for a pretty hot amp that doesnt really bode well for bedroom playing but I do love it.

Yeah, even 5 watts is still loud. And when I switch mine down to one? Mud. It's still nice to be able to go that low, but if you really want it to sound good, it's gonna be loud. Gotta move that air.

This is one of the things I've struggled with on my JTM45/Bluesbreaker. The "normal" input is very dark and the "bright" input is very, very bright at lower volumes. At higher volumes, things even out a little more, but then it's just way too loud to comfortably play at home. Even at a gig, it's arguably too loud for most situations, and I'm not playing out right now in any case.

Bright cap? You could snip it, if you wanna play at lower volumes.

I've been able to leave mine in on the VTM, but I don't play a tele. I'd imagine that's rough. Roll back the tone on the LP, and it's fine. Even on the P90s.

Yeah. I've thought about it, but it's still so loud and so heavy.

I'm really looking for something to get me in that Bill Frisell ballpark tonally, and a crankin' Marshall really isn't built for that:

I get so much variety from all my boosts and pedals that i can work with the normal input.

Im really thinking an attenuator might be necessary these days. I tried one years ago and hated how clipped it all sounded. But perhaps i just need a better one....

Anyone ever soundproofed their bedroom?

I live in a semidetached home. Meaning, i share a party wall with my neighbors. The room I play guitar in does not share a wall with my neighbors (thank goodness), but i am sure they can still hear me.

I really want to play without concern.

I don't know how much useful info i can add but i've looked into it a bit in the past because i'm in a similar situation. My takeaway was that true soundproofing is very difficult and expensive to achieve. The ideal solution involves building a room inside a room which has no structural contact with the building, and that dampens most of the offending sound waves from getting out. Also getting rid of windows. Surface treatments like foam padding or paneling don't do a whole lot.

I just ended up talking to my neighbors and they said they can sometimes hear me but it's never a bother so just keep doing what i'm doing. I don't play overly loud though.

Every cat turd that winds up in your yard = One hour of noise at 80db

Luckily i dont share a wall with those neighbors! Just a fence line!

Have you thought of putting up ver heavy curtains about two inches from the neighbour facing wall(s)?
