I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Part 8 is the greatest episode of television I have ever seen. Last night's episode was the most rewarding episode I have ever seen.
- Spoiler: show
- - I enjoyed the odd juxtaposition of the tension with DoppleCoop and Richard versus Jerry not being able to work binoculars properly.
- Seeing how casually DoppleCoop disposed of Richard made me look at the character of Richard in a completely different way. Knowing the monster of DoppleCoop coupled with the fact that Audrey, in all likelihood, was not around as his mother makes him a more tragic figure. I think in retrospect that Richard running over the kid was symbolic of how Richard's own innocence and childhood was completely destroyed.
- Freaking Diane! My heart was pounding throughout that entire scene! I was just certain that she was going to kill Cole. Miguel Ferrer is already gone, I'm not overly attached to Tammy (yet), but don't you dare take Cole away from me. Luckily, this wasn't the case!
- So did Cole, Tammy, and Albert know that Diane was a tulpa all along?
- I love how after all this time, we have yet to actually see Diane. The mystery continues!
- I was grinning for about ten minutes straight when Cooper came back.
- I am almost certainly wrong about this, but I hope that Candie is a vessel for Laura Palmer returning. I'm fascinated by her character: her innocence and pure emotions are so refreshing. At the very least I hope she continues to have a presence on the show.
- Of all the ways to resolve the Hank and Chauntel plot line, I definitely didn't expect the bloodbath over a parking space. . .
- I'm still waiting for Bushnell to punch someone. There's got to be a reason that they keep referencing his past as a boxer.
- I'm so disillusioned by modern day Eddie Vedder. His appearance was the only thing I was dreading this season. But I really enjoyed this performance. The studio version of "Out of Sand" was missing the annoying vocal tics, and it just worked really well in the context of the show.
- Audrey! That was the perfect WTF moment that the original Twin Peaks was so good at.
- So now we have Naido, Candie, Mandie, and Sandie in Twin Peaks. All are anagrams of Diane (in Naido's case Dian) with one extra letter.

I feel depressed even thinking about it being over. . .
However, yesterday on Twitter, Kyle McLachlan teased wearing the suit again "at a future date".

Guys. Episode 16 is even
more rewarding when you waited until power came back on in your household to watch it.
