So Democrats have no way to pass legislation, but have the power to shut down legislation. They have a compromise-driving pull.

On the other hand, Republican representation is now more freedom caucus-leaning than ever before....a group who can’t even compromise with other Republicans.

Fucking hell.

I believe this immediately. Currently trying to guess if there’s more than three or four in South Dakota.

This is huge in the sense that the senate wasn’t really up for play. The fact the house was and the dems won big is huge

And some good governor wins. Yay gay Colorado!

But Amendment 4 passing there is huge. I believe in Gillum. He'll find a home in representation in the future. He's awesome. And it sucks that he's out but there is still some good news to focus on.

This surprised me at first, since Idaho's not that much bigger than either of those states and I've grown up around far more escalators than that. But then I learned that the Boise metro area is at least three times bigger than the biggest metros in SD and WY.

Several outlets are projecting that the Dems will take the House. I still feel like it's too early to feel confident and happy about it. BUT... if that's true, that's huge.

Considering how aggravatingly close most Florida races are, I think this gets underrated in terms of the impact it could potentially have going forward.

It feels like all the major ones have projected this at this point.

I think at this point it would be hard for them not to. I feel like the only thing that was something of a surprise tonight was Florida going all red.
