As a Warriors fan I really hope the Cubs come back from the 3-1 hole.

Most Indians fans were hoping a just a bit for a loss last night so we can win the World Series in Cleveland. Also, we'd all feel like dicks for sweeping the Cubs in Wrigley to win the World Series. It just seems like too much abuse for one team.

There's a big difference between taking solace in the fact that they won a lot of games this year (which, while it makes for a much better season, is strange to me, since the entire point is to try to win the World Series) and taking solace in the fact the they're an extremely talented young team that will have a great chance to win a World Series going forward.verb_to_trust wrote:I don't live and die with baseball anymore. I was devastated in 03 and 08 though. it sure looked like there was a lot of that feeling in the ballpark last night. If what you're saying is that Cubs fans shouldn't believe in the culture that has been built over the last few years and feel some security in the young roster they have i don't know what to tell you.
