father's son and infallable seem intriguing. i dont mind the idea of a 50's pop rock song, i just hope it doesnt remind me of backspacer.
Read a few posts up, he's told me it doesn't sound like Supersonic. Real rock 'n roll sound apparently. Phew.

What happened here? I don't want to read through all the pointless bullshit, someone just give me the meat and taters.

Not a return to any previous form but hopefully a suitable evolution. While they want to be a bloody pop band I'm having to review my hopes. If the themes are consistent, the eclecticism could work.

Edit: it's a reaaaal possibilityyy..
u dont think they have an eclectic mix on their albums?
Not in a wacky, poppy or trippy way. I guess when I think of 'eclectic' I tend to think of totally weird juxtapositions. They've always got a wide variety of styles on the albums, but not real darkness clashing against cheesy pop.

all the lyrics i've seen posted so far have looked excellent on paper. nothing cringeworthy yet. (edit: forgot about LB and FD)

I'm kind of amazed this isn't going to be Backspacer 2. all kinds of excited to just get something different. LTRP has me nervous though.

I'd swap sirens for my fathers son though, in terms of whats really intriguing me. Have no clue what that could sound like.

Leaving heres kinda 50s right? Ive always liked that and soldier of love. LtRP could be ok.

Swallowed whole seems to have a kinda better days hippy dippy earth song thing going on lyrically, but the corresponding picture seemed kinda dark.

It seems most people will just deem sleeping by myself as unnecessary. I hope is just that rather than awful though.

Yeah I nearly left Sirens off the list but any track that has so much hype (from Mike and Bo'B) does have me interested.

That totally wacky "WTF, does it work?" feeling could be what they meant when they said Pink Floyd. It also might explain the WTF version of SBM. Maybe it's supposed to be fucking weird. Maybe you're not supposed to dwell on it. There's got to be some reason the artwork was shit on purpose and totally funny.

i'd call it laziness and bob being wrong about something.

SBMGate Update Desk:

Don't forget that, in addition to taking up valuable album real estate, SBM will also be taking up valuable set list real estate, coming soon to a 2013 North American Tour near you!

BOB doesn't seem to have any idea what "cool" is......and Mike likes cock rock. So the jury is still out on Sirens until I hear it.
