I'd appreciate a hookup. I'm vacationing at Disneyland with my kids. The construction of Star Wars world looms. We did Star tours (first time in 4 years) and were treated to Jakku and the red salt planet.
I can't do Star Tours I get sick. My wife and kids do it over and over and I hold their crap.

Part one of this three-part podcast miniseries features a (very) brief history of our host's introduction to both Star Wars and John Williams, the way Star Wars has traditionally been scored (and how that approach was changed for the Last Jedi), the difference between a motif and a theme, the series' prior callbacks to its own legacy, and how John Williams' tends to interpret emotion through his music for the saga.
I did not hear the march from the commercials in the film. At least I don't think I did. Was it in there?

I went and saw this again last night on a screen they call "Emax" which I guess is the largest screen in the state. And man, a lot of that Crait stuff is just so pretty.

Who knows? The score released is only 70 minutes long. The film is 2 and half hours.

Mind. Blown.

Going through that TLJ walk through, and starting from about an hour and ten minutes in (slightly under halfway) this movie is just perfect. A little bit of bloat and drag before hand, but from the moment Luke first reaches out to Leia (which starts the final force text scene with Rey and Kylo) until the end everything about this movie is amazing.

Ren isn't hurt by Rey's blaster, but for a moment he thinks he is because he thinks it is real. Plus he was carrying his recent wound from Chewie, so he's understandably sensitive about being shot
I'm on the fence about the heart attack. I thought that's what it was at first (he is clearly exhausted) but on subsequent viewings I think he just decides this is his time to let go. It may be that the exhaustion just made that idea more appealing.
Yeah there’s no heart attack. He just knows it’s time. He reignited the Jedi and rebellion. Job done.
it being time would be in line with how both yoda and obi wan became one with the force. speaking of obi wan's death, he did so distracting vader so luke and company could escape, so cool parallel with what luke did there.

So many great cuts in this film.
Luke saying it’s time for the Jedi to end. Shirking all his responsiblity and
Cut straight to what looks like a nothing scene where nothing happens but it’s leia sitting alone stressing and worrying about what is she going to do where is she going to take them to get to safety.
Just brilliant.

even watching this sub par torrent rip the final hour of this movie has so many breathtaking moments, and I know exactly what's going to happen. It is just so magnificently done.

It really is.
Rey- there’s still conflict in him. if he will turn from the dark side from the dark side it will shift the tide this could be how we win.
Luke-this is not going to go the way you think
Rey-it is. Just now. As we touched hands. I saw his future as solid as Im seeing you. If I git to him Ben Solo will turn.
Luke - Rey. Don’t do this.
Luke knows Snoke is playing with her mind. Or maybe he sees even above that.

Rey being tortured midair by Snoke. Just as she screams it cuts to Poe snapping out of a nightmare, upset.
He has all them fancy piloting skills. Unnatural ability? Is he force sensitive?
Him and Rey sure look cosy in that final shot of n the falcon. (Name one other scene where she smiles as big as when he says hello)
